The Way it Was

7/17/09

Blood running in streets around the world, media pundits flying off the hooks of the chains of the hinges of the wheels of their rockers, perhaps no public option, dark sorcery abounds in the night, and perhaps the last bastion of journalistic integrity is dead at 92. Though retired, his passing represents the hacking rattle of the end of media… the way it was.

For though I would defend the human race at the gates of hell, (or failing that, severe cynicism)* humankind is, after all, only human, and shall remain as such until better ones can be built. Which is itself a narrowing prospect as healthcare reform circles the drain.
