This livejournal doesn’t have a “Currently Reading’ section. And not to brag, but I am reading a whole fucking lot. Here it is and why

Player Piano by Kurt Vonnegut– re-reading it because I love it so much
Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut– actually, I am trying to see if I can adapt this into a movie script
Heaven and Hell by Maura Faustino– hilarious and a nice reference for something I’m writing
The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks– once again, hilarious and great to read at 3 in the morning, but also a reference
Egyptian Ideas on the Afterlife by Budge– another reference material
Paradise Lost by Milton– just watched Se7en again, and I have to re-read Paradise Lost to find that damned quote in there. Jesus!
Dante’s Divine Comedies– well, actually just the Cliff’s Notes
Quills– It’s for class and I fucking hate the Marquis DeSade
Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk– Reading bits and pieces of it, and it’s not so hot
Calvin and Hobbes Treasury by Bill Waterson– just for fun
Magic Mirror of M.C. Escher– doing some more Escher-type op art of my own
The Broker by John Grisham– can’t seem to get past the first chapter

  1. Mmm.. Mother Night… 🙂

    • yeah
Wouldn’t that kick ASS as a movie? Out of all of Vonnegut’s work, I think it would possibly be the best adapted, except maybe Player Piano, which would be in danger of becoming some sort of action/adventure sci-fi epic like they did to Asimov’s “I, Robot,” or also possibly Bluebeard, which is not his strongest work. Everything else falls flat in the movie story arc department, but of course very compelling as a novel.
P.S., you ever get around to the Dharma, you Bum?
